Over last weekend, our Bromley Fury U18 NBL team finished their season on a high note by winning consecutive games against Barking Thunder and John Roan Titans. These victories were particularly impressive since both teams had previously dominated Bromley in the first half of the season.
The team’s success can be attributed, in large part, to their well-executed offensive strategy. The dynamic duo of Brechan and Jonathan provided a potent one two punch off the wing, while Vakaris’s sharpshooting from beyond the arc made him a deadly weapon. Tobi’s presence in the paint allowed him to control the boards, and Youssef’s leadership as point guard kept the team in sync.
On Sunday against the Titans, it was encouraging to see four members of the under-16s team playing up in the under-18s squad. Additionally, junior shooting guard Richard Bauermeisters put up an impressive performance, giving fans a glimpse of what’s to come next season.
The team has shown significant improvement since the start of the season, demonstrating that they are a more cohesive unit. Credit must be given to Coach Steve Rich for his hard work and dedication to the team. His contributions both on and off the court have been instrumental in the team’s development throughout the season.
Finishing third in the league, Bromley Fury U18 can be proud of their accomplishments this season. The club would like to extend their gratitude to all the players for their dedication and hard work. They wish the graduates good luck at university and hope to see them back in Bromley blue someday.
