Steve Rich – Club Captain and U18 NBL Head Coach

Steve attended Hayes School in Bromley. Under the legendary coach Rob Ody, Steve captained his school team to the U14 National Schools Championship beating Millfield School in the final. The team again made the National Final at U16’s narrowly losing out to Duddeston Manor, Birmingham.

Steve was an England International at U15 and U16 and played Junior National League for Crystal Palace and London Towers.

As a Senior player Steve has played for a number of National League and Local League clubs including Kingston Wildcats, Alleyn’s Apaches and Bromley Fury. He captained the Kingston team who played in four consecutive National Founders Cup Finals, winning the trophy in 2009, with Steve picking up the MVP award.

Steve started his coaching career in 2013 and is head of basketball at Hayes School. Alongside Andy Roser, Steve established the Bromley Fury Junior Programme and is currently the head coach of the U18 NBL Junior team.

Leo Nelson – U16 NBL Head Coach

Leo attended Hayes School, Bromley and player under Steve Rich. During Leo’s tenure the school achieved top 8 and top 4 finishes in the national schools tournment.

As a junior Leo has played for London Thunder in the Premier NBL and captained Bromley Fury’s U18NBL Junior team for two years.

As a senior Leo has played for Bromley Fury’s first and second teams in the Medway league.

Leo has been coaching for three years and has been integral to the expansion of the Bromley Fury juniors programme coaching across all age groups including as an assistant U18 coach in 21-22 and the U16 Head coach in 22-23.

Rob MacAllister – U14 Coach

Rob has been coaching Basketball at various levels since the age of 14, qualifying as a level 2 coach while at University and also spending three months coaching full-time in Portland, Maine – USA.

He has experience coaching U16 NBL from his years with Bath and Trowbridge Titans, where he also played D4 National League Basketball as a senior.

Rob has played for multiple teams across the South East competing in the Herts, Essex and Cambridge leagues and now with Bromley Fury 1s in the Medway league.

Ishaan Singh – Assistant Junior Coach

Ishaan attended Hayes school, Bromley and has played basketball for the school being coached by Steve Rich who led Ishaan and his teams to multiple Kent Cup wins

Ishaan currently plays for the club’s U18 National Basketball League side and assists with training across the entire junior set up as an assistant Level 1 coach.

Mohamed Alie Jalloh – Assistant U16 Coach

Mohamed started playing at age 12 in Freetown, Sierra Leone. He played for the Freetown Lakers Basketball Academy under the mentorship of Patrick Sundifu as head coach, where he was captain.

Mohamed made his international debut by playing for YSC against Liberia in 2010. In 2016 Mohamed joined the Cannon Royals Basketball Club and played first division in the Sierra Leone National League.

 In 2017, Mohamed got selected to represent Sierra Leone to participate in training programs and games in London and the Guernsey Islands.

Mohamed joined Bromley Fury  in 2020 and plays for the 2nds in the Medway Basketball League.

Mohamed holds his level 2 coaching certificates from Basketball England. 

Outside of Fury. Mohamed has been appointed head coach for the University College London women’s second team for the 2022/2023 BUCS League.
