Basketball England Junior NBL is the highest level of junior club basketball in the country.
Our U18 NBL team play in the London Conference, playing home and away against each team. It generally involves about 20 matches, mostly on Saturdays.
For everyone at Bromley, this is the pinnacle of junior basketball. It is tough and serious, with some pretty mean teams out there, but it is fun too, and through the season the team develops a real sense of camaraderie.
Our U18 NBL Team is coached by Coach Ross of Bullers Wood School. Ross has been instrumental in building up the basketball programme at Bullers Wood and we are delighted to welcome him to the coaching staff this season. Ros splayed National League basketball himself for Torbay Tigers. Ross has taken over this year from Coach Steve, managing the Bromley Schools tournament which has done so much to develop basketball in the borough.
Playing in an NBL team is a major commitment, with training twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays in the case of the U18s) and a match at the weekend. But is is an amazing experience that the players will remember for the rest of their lives.
Trials for our NBL teams are at the start of the Summer each year, but if you think you have got what it takes, get in touch with us to speak to the coach. We can always make a space for someone good enough!
